Ehwaz, also known as Eh, Aíhws, or Íor, means “horse”.
For the Norse people, the horse was a symbol of wealth and strength.
This rune reflects many of the horse’s attributes: speed, determination, power, and its bond with the rider.
But it also embraces nobility, grace, and beauty—not just physical energy.
It isn’t tied to a specific deity, but rather to the divine horses ridden by gods, such as Sleipnir, Odin’s eight-legged steed.
