Product Information
Silver-toned Claddagh ring, considered in Irish tradition as the official ring for engagements and weddings.
Although its design was created by a Galway goldsmith in the 18th century, the ring holds strong symbols linked to Celtic culture.
The hands, crown, and heart represent Love, Friendship, and Loyalty respectively—words engraved on the inner side of the ring.
According to tradition, how the ring is worn can indicate whether someone is open to love or already taken:
- on the right hand with the heart pointing toward the wrist: not looking for a relationship
- on the right hand with the heart pointing toward the fingertips: open to love
- on the left ring finger with the heart pointing toward the fingertips: engaged
- on the left ring finger with the heart pointing toward the wrist: married
