Product Information
Originally from Scotland, the Quaich is an ancient cup used to seal a pact between two clans. According to legend, when peace or a pact was sealed between clans, the two chiefs would meet to drink from the Quaich: each from their own side, holding their flat handle. In this way, they drank from the same cup while remaining independent from one another.
In the 17th century, the Quaich was offered to welcome pilgrims and travelers, while today it is used in wedding and baptism ceremonies.
This Quaich features a Celtic Knot design in the center: a symbol of continuity and the flow of Life.
